Mostafa Shiblee, born in July 67 did his Bachelor and Masters in English Literature from Dhaka University. Through his school debate program in Bangladesh, Mostafa Shiblee is cultivating and educating the minds of young students, encouraging them to become constructively involved in their community, and gradually in their country. Awarded with Ashoka Fellowship from USA in 1996 for his school debate program, Shiblee believes that debate ignites the imagination, enthusiasm, and curiosity of the students, encouraging them to read and learn more, boldly express their opinions and ideas on various topics, and become more sure about themselves and their civic responsibilities. Through the organization he founded, Working for Better Life, Shiblee works in more than 700 high schools as of June, 2005. Shiblee also built a first ever debate training center in Kuakata called Chhotoder Rajjo and organizes debate camp for school/ college/ madrassah students regularly. |
Badhon is the matchmaking agency Shiblee established along with Monika Parveen in 1995. Over the years, Badhon has arranged more than 600 marriages and offered its service to thousands of Bangladeshi marriageable people. Through his matchmaking organization, Shiblee wishes to work for making marriage easier for Bangladeshi singles and popularize marriage as an institution in the Bangladeshi societies at home and abroad. |
